Open innovation and entrepreneurial talent in Al-Andalus Innovation Venture 2025
CinfaNext played an active role in the fourth edition of Al-Andalus Innovation Venture (AAIV25), which has become Spain’s national benchmark for scale-ups and open innovation. The event took place on 24 and 25 September at the Pabellón de la Navegación in Seville.
This year’s edition surpassed last year’s attendance figures, drawing over 2,800 participants, including 192 investors and 250 Spanish corporations, alongside 800 start-ups. The shared goal was to foster collaboration and identify new opportunities for innovation and mutual growth.
Innovation, collaboration and the future of health
The event concentrated on future technologies, with a special focus on key sectors such as Green Hydrogen and Artificial Intelligence, as well as strategic areas like energy, cybersecurity, insurtech, agrofood, health, and biotech.
During the meeting, our Innovation Analyst, Marta Pedrosa, joined a panel on Innovation and Health with Cristina Gómez-Gordo (GSK), Sergio San Agustín (Clave Capital), and Izabel Alfany (EIT Health). The discussion emphasised the need to speed up collaboration between start-ups, investment funds, and pharmaceutical companies to ensure that innovation reaches patients more quickly.
In her presentation, Marta introduced our Open Innovation platform, CinfaNext, which aims to foster a collaborative ecosystem built on co-creation and strategic partnerships. She also pointed out that this initiative aims to develop innovative solutions to meet both current and future patient needs.
Additionally, she discussed two key initiatives reinforcing our dedication to sustainability and digitalisation: a circular economy project designed to reduce the sector’s environmental impact, and a new rehabilitation service using digital tools in pharmacies. Developed in partnership with tech start-ups, this service broadens pharmacists’ roles in healthcare and brings innovation closer to patients.
Best scale-up at AAIV25
The 2025 edition once again celebrated entrepreneurial talent with the BME Awards and honoured the Seville-based start-up Tutrocito, which specialises in custom-made furniture, as the best scale-up of the year. Tutrocito was one of 24 scale-ups presented and stood out for its ability to grow, make an impact, and lead business innovation, earning the title of the most investable scale-up. As a result of this recognition, founders Darius Molnar, Jorge Geniz, and María Coronel gain access to BME’s exclusive stock market expansion programme, tailored to support the growth and market consolidation of the most promising start-ups.
