Our participation in ANCES Open Innovation: talent, innovative solutions and collaboration

At Cinfa, through our open innovation platform, CinfaNext, we have once again joined the ANCES Open Innovation initiative, promoted by the Spanish National Association of European Business and Innovation Centres (ANCES).

The aim of this programme is to connect entrepreneurial talent with leading companies to accelerate the development and market launch of innovative solutions that generate a real impact on society.

Open innovation to improve the lives of patients with chronic conditions

This year, the challenge posed by CinfaNext had a clear purpose: to improve the quality of life of people with chronic illnesses.

To this end, we sought proposals capable of driving new solutions that contribute to improving patients’ understanding of their illness, facilitating daily treatment management and increasing therapeutic adherence.

For our part, in response to the challenge set for our sector, we were looking for everything from digital health solutions to new, more efficient treatment models, innovative medical devices and technologies geared towards more precise and personalised monitoring of patients with chronic conditions.

All this driven by a shared vision: to empower both patients and healthcare professionals by providing them with tools that facilitate decision-making and contribute to improved health outcomes.

Finalist startups and featured projects

At the final event, held on 20 May at Banco Sabadell’s BStartup hub in Madrid, the finalist startups from this 9th edition presented their proposals to leading companies, including Cinfa.

In this edition, the winning startup was Cuico Health, with a proposal focused on improving healthcare for patients with chronic diseases through technological solutions that enable remote monitoring, promote health education and empower patients to manage their own condition.

At CinfaNext, we also want to congratulate the other two finalist startups: Chronity, which promotes a self-management and digital support model that enables patients with chronic conditions to record their progress, share data and participate in research projects securely and anonymously; and Cycle Platform, a SaaS solution that uses a physical carrier to transform products into a direct, intelligent and traceable channel between the brand and the user.

Driving innovation through CinfaNext

Initiatives such as ANCES Open Innovation reinforce our commitment to collaboration as a way to accelerate innovation in healthcare. At CinfaNext, we will continue to work to identify, connect and develop high-potential projects that contribute to one of our key strategic priorities: improving the lives of people with chronic conditions.
