4YFN 2026: Towards more integrated, personalised and digital patient care

From 2 to 5 March we took party in 4YFN (4 Years From Now), the leading event in innovation at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, which aims to continue exploring new ways of improving patient care, monitoring and support.

In this context, our colleague Marta Pedrosa, Innovation Specialist & CinfaNext Program Lead, participated as a speaker at the round table “Innovation in the health sector: new models to improve patient care, monitoring and support”, along with other industry leaders, such as Oscar Gil (Director, Emerging Technologies Intelligence Research at Astrazenca), Jon Vital (CEO of Trak) and Beatriz Gandarias (Senior Associate at Asabys Partners).

Exploring new models of innovation

During the session, we looked at how new models of innovation are redefining patient care, addressing a key challenge: how to ensure clinical impact, system efficiency and economic sustainability at the same time.

We also reflected on the evolution of the concept of “care” in an increasingly digital environment, where technology can represent an opportunity to move towards more personalised and person-centred models.

Another of the core themes of the round table was the importance of strengthening partnerships between the different players in the ecosystem —startups, industry, hospitals and investors— as a lever to accelerate innovation and facilitate its integration into the healthcare system. It became clear that the most effective collaboration models depend not only on the interaction of these agents, but also on acting on a shared purpose, always with a focus on improving people’s quality of life.

Marta also took the opportunity to present CinfaNext, our initiative to drive open innovation in the healthcare sector.

Through CinfaNext, we act as a catalyst within the healthcare ecosystem, promoting collaborations with startups and key players to develop solutions that contribute to strengthening the healthcare value of pharmacy and improving patient quality of life.
