Launching CinfaNext, Cinfa’s new Open Innovation Platform

Cinfa is opening a new path towards open innovation through CinfaNext, our new collaborative space, which aims to respond to people’s future health needs, identifying new trends and working together on innovative projects in the field of health.

This open innovation platform will involve collaboration and co-creation with various players in the ecosystem, such as hubs, universities, clusters, accelerators, science parks, researchers, entrepreneurs and startups, in order to provide patients and healthcare professionals with innovative healthcare solutions.

What do we want to achieve with CinfaNext?

Ways of innovating are evolving. We are therefore looking to expand our innovation model. The aim is to promote collaboration, learn about new ideas and establish partnerships to help innovative projects reach the market, offering the know-how we have gathered during more than 50 years in a highly regulated environment, as is the case of the pharmaceutical market. We will do so always bearing in mind the values and culture that characterise Cinfa and our three-pronged sustainability strategy: care for the environment, economic development and social well-being.

CinfaNext will initially focus on 6 main areas of innovation:

  • Life expectancy: thanks to medical, pharmaceutical and socio-health progress, life expectancy is on the up. However, at Cinfa we believe that it is not only about living longer, but also about living better, enjoying a good quality of life. This is why we will be looking further into new solutions and support for these patients.
  • Chronicity: life expectancy, combined with more effective treatments, means that people are living with chronic diseases for longer, and this is something we must also take into account.
  • Healthcare self-management: people are playing an increasingly active role in managing their own health. Advances in information technology, diagnosis, monitoring and prevention allow patients to become more involved in the management of their pathologies.
  • Natural solutions with scientific evidence: we are also committed to people seeking natural health solutions, always with the maximum guarantees of effectiveness, safety and scientific-clinical evidence.
  • Personalisation: technological advances allow us to move towards healthcare solutions that are increasingly adapted to the characteristics and needs of each individual, as well as to personalise our relationship with healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Sustainability: as a line that cuts across all the above lines, we will also seek to identify and support pioneering projects that allow us to move towards a more sustainable future, promoting a balance between care for the environment, economic development and social welfare.

Although these are the six pillars on which CinfaNext focuses, we are also looking for other innovative projects or ideas in the field of healthcare outside these fields. Do you have a project that you think Cinfa might be interested in? Tell us about it!
