We take part in La Nave Health Week: innovative solutions for patient care

On 20 February we were at Demo Day: eHealth & SportsTech 2025 organised at La Nave, Madrid City Council’s innovation centre. At this event, startups with disruptive solutions in the field of health and sport presented their projects to a jury of experts, which we were part of thanks to the presence of our Innovation Analyst, Marta Pedrosa.

During Demo Day, we had the opportunity to discover innovative initiatives such as Dooctoor, NewsLittle, Preconsultor and AiMedic, as well as the two winning startups of the event: Proteckthor and Farmalitics.

Proteckthor has developed an advanced protective headband that reduces the impact of blows to the head by up to 93% without affecting sporting performance, with the aim of improving the safety of sportsmen and women, especially in disciplines such as football. Meanwhile, Farmalitics uses artificial intelligence and data analytics to optimise pharmacy management, improving profitability, safety and efficiency.

As members of the jury, we assessed the impact and feasibility of the solutions presented, highlighting the entrepreneurial talent and capacity for innovation in the health sector. As Marta Pedrosa pointed out, “this Demo Day gives us the opportunity to learn first-hand about innovative projects, identify synergies and contribute to progress in the health sector, which is CinfaNext’s main objective. That is why initiatives like this are key to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation”.

Cinfa Hackathon at Health Week 2025

In addition to our participation in the Demo Day, Cinfa organised a Hackathon as part of Health Week 2025, focused on the challenge: Innovation of care services in community pharmacy”.

Students from various disciplines worked together at this collaborative event to develop innovative solutions to strengthen the healthcare role of pharmacies in Spain. The aim was to design services and tools that improve care and health promotion in pharmacies, facilitate early detection of diseases, integrate technology to measure specific parameters and facilitate personalised patient follow-up.

The teams presented their proposals in two-minute rounds, demonstrating great creativity and problem-solving skills.

Driving innovation to improve patient quality of life
