Innovation and Startups: Our participation in Al-Andalus Innovation Venture 2024
On 24 and 25 September, CinfaNext actively participated in the third edition of the Al-Andalus Innovation Venture, which has established itself as the leading event for Startups and Open Innovation in southern Spain. During the event attended by companies, startups and leaders from various sectors, we had the privilege of sponsoring the health vertical and opening the pitches, where we shared our initiatives, as well as the work of Cinfa and CinfaNext.
Marta Pedrosa, our Innovation Analyst, took part in a round table with Cristina Gómez-Gordo, from GSK; José María Blasco Ruiz, from ICEX; and Blanca Boix, from AstraZeneca, where the main focus was collaboration with startups in the pharmaceutical sector. During her speech, Marta Pedrosa highlighted the mission of CinfaNext, Cinfa’s Open Innovation area, which aims to create an innovative ecosystem based on the fundamental pillars of collaboration and co-creation. She underlined that this initiative not only promotes innovative projects in the field of health through strategic alliances, but also seeks to develop solutions that respond to both current and future patient needs.
One of the highlights is its direct link with Cinfa’s R&D teams: CinfaNext is integrated transversally in all areas and with all people, favouring both internal and external collaboration to promote innovation in health. “We want CinfaNext to become a gateway to all kinds of projects that are aligned with innovation and health”, she emphasised.
In closing, she called for all innovative projects in the health sector to get information and contact us through our website. An invitation was issued for ideas that could be evaluated in terms of their alignment with our strategy and values, assessing the feasibility of collaboration. If promising potential is identified, we are committed to explore ways to carry out the project jointly and to the satisfaction of both parties, ensuring the protection and confidentiality of intellectual property, regardless of whether the initiative is ultimately selected or not. We look forward to meeting and collaborating on new transformative ideas!
