We participate in Transfiere, the main R&D&I meeting in Southern Europe to promote open innovation
We continue our search for solutions that respond to the health needs of patients, both current and future needs, and to this end, we know that promoting open innovation is fundamental. We talked about this and other issues related to the health sector and entrepreneurship on 16 February at one of the round tables at Transfiere, the benchmark European Forum for Science, Technology and Innovation.
How we participated in the Transfiere Forum
Once again, Transfiere became an important date on the calendar for all the agents of the innovation ecosystem. A meeting to establish new contacts and collaborators with whom to generate strategic alliances and seek synergies, as well as to learn about new products, services and innovative projects. In its 12th edition, we were present through our Open Innovation Platform, CinfaNext.
In addition to presenting CinfaNext, our innovation manager, Julio Sánchez Mariñas, moderated the round table named “Open innovation and investment in the healthcare sector: Trends and vision”, in which COFARES, Lanzadera and Clave Capital also took part.
In this space for dialogue, and thanks to the triple version of a corporation, an accelerator and an investment entity, attendees obtained a more complete picture of the current situation of innovation in the health sector. Among the main conclusions, we can highlight the following:
– The importance of establishing alliances with partners that help corporations to deploy the innovation needed in their strategy.
– The importance of forging partnerships that last over time and the role of accelerators as a link between startups and companies.
– The key role of the investor, acting on the knowledge and value of the project.
Some of the ideas put forward by the participants were:
“We created an innovation area working with startups and partnerships; companies that lead us to new formulas”.
Jorge Guelbenzu, Digital & Innovation & eHealth director at COFARES.
“We connect the generators of innovation and knowledge with the industrialists, with the project being at the centre.
Santiago Lozano as a fund manager at Clave Capital.
“Conducting a pilot or a proof of concept is meaningless if the relationship is not sustained over time”.
Ismael Valero, head of Lanzadera Corporate.
Transfiere took place over three days (15-17 February) and included various exhibition areas, thematic panels on topical issues in science, technology and innovation, and special days. To conclude this edition, the award was presented to the winning startup of the Transfiere “III Open Call for Deep Tech Startups”, from among those who presented their projects to professionals and investors. 2EyesVision was recognised for a breakthrough technology that allows presbyopia and cataract patients to experience the outcome of intraocular lens implants prior to surgery.
Also participating in Transfiere were Fych Technologies, the winning startup of our open innovation challenge in relation to ecopackaging launched with the Más Empresa ecosystem, and Genbioma Aplicaciones, a biotech company from Navarre dedicated to the research and development of probiotic formulas for the prevention of pathologies related to metabolic dysfunctions.
