Corporates and startups, united for open innovation at the Valencia Digital Summit
The sixth edition of the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS) took place recently with a record attendance of nearly 12,000 professionals from 91 countries. Organised by Startup Valencia and held at the City of Arts and Sciences for the second year in a row, the meeting brought together renowned technology leaders and experts from Europe, Asia, the USA and Latin America to present their technological, investment and growth news in innovation businesses.
This is how the event turned out
Carlos Mazón, President of the Generalitat Valenciana, María José Catalá, Mayoress of Valencia and Vicente Mompó, President of the Diputación de Valencia, were in charge of the institutional inauguration. They were all in agreement by highlighting how this meeting has positioned the city as a reference point for innovation and a key venue for technological meetings.
The forum hosted different side events focused on innovation in specific sectors, talks led by experts in different fields, panel discussions and a startup competition.
We at Cinfa took part with Ángel Uzquiza, Director of Innovation at Santalucía Seguros and Rayane Radjabaly, Head of Sales at Stripe, on the round table concerning “Corporate Innovation: Win – Win Between Startups and Corporates“, moderated by Ismael Valero, Manager at Lanzadera. We had the opportunity with it to share and express our views on industry trends and how startups and companies can learn from each other to innovate and drive open innovation.
We also presented our way of collaborating with startups and projects through our CinfaNext open innovation platform, where we develop a personalised work philosophy, adapting the collaboration channels to each type of project in an individualised way. After presenting our six main innovation areas, we continued our dialogue on the main lessons learned from the collaboration between startups and corporates from both points of view. At CinfaNext, our mission is to seek the best synergy and connection between both parties, aware of the importance of managing project expectations from the outset.
